The Permanent Committee for the Promotion of the Michele Pittaluga International Classical Guitar Competition is proud to organise the 11th Michele Pittaluga International Classical Guitar Composition Competition in honour of the founder of the prestigious festival in Alessandria, with the aim of enriching the contemporary repertoire for the six-string instrument.

Article 1 - Eligibility
The contest is open to composers of any nationality or age who have not won first prize in any of the previous editions.

Article 2 - Themes.
This year's contest is for music for one or two six-string guitars and in- cludes two categories. Each contestant may take part in either one or both of the categories with only one composition for each category.

Category A: Album Page (Pagina d'album, Feuillet d'album, Albumblatt)
For one or two six-string guitars with a maximum length of around 4 minutes, an easily communicated piece using traditional language and with an average difficulty of execution. The winning piece, should it meet these requirements, is to be used as the introductory music for all future presentations on audio promotional material for the Michele Pittaluga International Guitar Competition.

Category B:
For one or two six-string guitars with a maximum length of around 8 minutes, free form and language.
