Fresh Squeezed Opera is happy to consider pieces by young/emerging composers that match our instrumentation (or a subset of it) for performance by the ensemble. Our instrumentation requirement is: Piano, Electronic Keyboard, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon, Alto Saxophone At least one voice must be a vocal part. All composers must submit: 1. A full score 2. An mp3 recording (midis are acceptable) 3. A $5 submission fee per composer (not per piece) 4. Permission from the author of the text (if needed) Each composer is allowed to submit up to three pieces for consideration. One winner will be chosen from the submissions, who will receive a prize of $150. Ten pieces will be selected to be performed in December at our annual Showcase of Songs and Arias.
