“Speaking about a crisis means to promote it; not speaking about it means to enhance conformism. Let’s try to work hard, instead. Let’s stop it, once and for all; the only threatning crisis is the tragedy of not wanting to fight to get through it.” – Albert Einstein Eutopia Ensemble, a contemporary music group composed by some of the most rising musicians in Italy, announces a Call for Scores named “Crisis and Rebirth”. The selected compositions will be performed in some of the concerts that Eutopia Ensemble will stage abroad and then during its season “Le Strade del Suono” (“The Streets of Sound”) 2015/2016, at the Tosse Theatre in Genova. -The Call for Scores is open to all european composers born after January the 1st 1975. -The compositions can be for flute (also piccolo flute, bass flute, alto flute, double-bass flute in C, clarinet in B flat (also bass clarinet), percussions (vibraphone, toms, suspended cymbals, small percussions), piano; in every combination or solo. Electronics can be used, both as magnetic tape and live electronics. -The compositions must be unexecuted and must be no longer than 7 minutes. -Every style and aesthetic is permitted. -The performed compositions will be recorded with professional tools and the composers will be given a copy of the recordings. -To participate it is expected a contribution of 20 € as a reimbursement of costs (not refundable), as a donation to contributo spese, payable via bonifico bancario; this amount allows the artists to send from 1 to 3 compositions. -All the material must be sent within 30 March 2015. |
