Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Sichuan Percussion Ensemble to be premiered March 2015 for the Composer’s Voice concert Series at the Concert Hall of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, No. 6 Xinsheng Rd, Chengdu, Sichuan, China This call is for percussion ensemble with 3-5 percussionists The following percussion instruments are available. Only the percussion instruments on this list are available: 1.Timpani 2.Glockenspiel 3.Xylophone 4.Vibraphone 5.Marimba 6.Bass Marimba 7.Tubular Bells 8.Wind Chimes / Bambo 9.Triangle 10.Bass Drum 11.Cymbals /suspend 12.Cowbell 13.Drum Set 14.Tam Tam 15.Gong 16.Claves 17.Slapstick 18.VibraSlap 19.Ratchet 20.Guiro 21.Maracas 22.Castanets 23.Wood Blocks 24.Temple Blocks 25. Log Drum 26. Tambourine 27. Bongo Drums 28.Timbales 29.Conga Drums 30.Snare Drum 31.Tom Tom Submission guidelines: -Submission Deadline September 30, 2015 -All works must be 60 seconds or less in length -This call is open to all composers. -There is no fee to submit. -Works should be composed specifically for this project and performers. -All pieces must be premieres and not previously written or performed. -No works over a minute will be reviewed. -Multiple submissions are not accepted. Send your best work! -Works need to be submitted via email to: composersvoicesubmit@gmail.com -The subject line should read 15-Minutes-of-Fame: Si Chuan Percussion Ensemble– Composer’s Name - Title -The email must include the composer's picture as an attached jpg file. -The score must be submitted as an attached PDF file. Send score and parts together as one file. (Performance notes should be included with the score.) -Include the dedication to Si Chuan Percussion Ensemble on the score -Include a 50-word biography and 50 word program note as text in the body of the email. Do NOT send these as attachments. -Include your contact information: street address, city, state, zip, and telephone number in the body of the email.
