Up to six (6) Composer Fellows between the age of 25 and 35 will be selected to participate in two weeks of Open Discussions, Preview Concerts, and World Premiere Concerts of their work. Round-trip airfare, accommodations and a per diem will be provided to the composers by the Partnership. The Intimacy of Creativity is unique among contemporary music workshops in that composers are expected to make substantial structural rewriting, in addition to the usual revisions in instrumental techniques, etc. Composers applying for the Partnership MUST be comfortable having their compositions discussed publicly in detail, and be willing to make substantial revisions before the final public concert presentations.

Composers-in-Residence/Audience Vote
One or two participating Composer Fellows may be offered a one-year position at HKUST as Composer-in-Residence/Visiting Scholar in the Division of Humanities for the 2015-2016 academic year.

In addition, the work of one Composer Fellow will be selected through audience vote at the IC2015 World Premiere Concerts to be presented at the 2015 Beijing Modern Music Festival (BMMF). Hotel accommodation to attend events in Beijing will be provided by BMMF. The selected composer is expected to share travel expenses with HKUST/IC.

Submissions
-ONLY electronic submissions via the IC2015 Online Submission Form will be accepted
-Each composer may submit up to three (3) chamber music compositions for consideration, but only ONE work from each composer will be selected and presented
-Each work submitted should be 8-10 minutes in duration, for 2-5 performers drawn from the following instrumentation: clarinet (no bass clarinet), string quartet (or any subset thereof), and piano (piano 4-hands also acceptable)
-Solo works will NOT be accepted
-Composers are asked to apply via the online submission form below by the receipt deadline, including\
a. Personal information as listed
b. Score for each work submitted (PDF format only)
c. Set of professionally prepared parts for each work submitted (PDF format only)
d. CV, including date of birth and names and contact information (only) for two (2) professional references (PDF format only)
e. Though NOT NECESSARY, the composer may also send accompanying performance recordings of the submitted works (MP3 format only)

Composers will receive an automatic submission confirmation e-mail upon submission of their application; composers should retain the confirmation e-mail and are asked NOT to e-mail IC2015 to confirm receipt of their submission
