Details: We are seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Music to contribute to the delivery of our well-established and successful BA Music programme within the Faculty of Arts.

The successful applicant will be a versatile musician, qualified at least to Masters level in the subject area; they must be able to teach a range of modules across the programme using a variety of appropriate methods, and will be fully involved in the assessment process as well as collaborating with colleagues on course development and evaluation and on curriculum design.

They will also be expected to take an active part in the wide range of practical musical activities offered by the Music department at York St John University.

Successful applicants who do not have a PhD (or be near completion) will be expected to register for one. You will join a Faculty of Arts team committed to providing a quality student learning experience. You will be expected to engage with the research and practice culture of the Faculty of Arts, and, where appropriate, supervise research students, as well as undertaking administrative and marketing roles in the Faculty.
