Artes Association announces the second edition of FLORENCE STRING QUARTET CALL FOR SCORES, sponsored by the Province of Florence. The selected scores will be created by Ascanio Quartet during the concert of Sunday September the 7th 2014 pm in Salone Luca Giordano in Palzzao Medici Riccardi in Florence. The concert will be recorded and published on cd and distributed on the international market by label Sheva Collection (www.shevacollection.it). The selected scores will also be published by Sconfinarte editions, the leading Italian editor for contemporary music (www.edizionisconfinarte.com). RULES 1. The call for score is opened to all composers, without nationality or age limit. 2. The Call for Score is opened to compositions for string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello) or any combination of the instruments of the quartet (i.e. solo instrument, duo, trio). Each work’s duration must not exceed 12 minutes. 3. The scores must be unpublished untill the day of the concert. The composers can send scores that have been already performed before the date of the concert. |
